The Boys

Julie and Geno were having fun with the costumes at K-Mart with the boys. They're so much fun! I can't wait to see what they look like with their real costumes on! Hope they have fun tonight and get tons of candy!

Now on to planning!

We have officially set our wedding date for Aug. 5, 2006. We had originally set it for the week after but there was a conflict with the church. It is now official. Anyone wanting an invitation email me your address. Now, it's time to start planning for the BIG day!

Thought for the Day.

Heavenly Father, Help us remember that the jerk who cut us off in traffic last night is a single mother who worked nine hours that day and is rushing home to cook dinner, help with homework, do the laundry and spend a few precious moments with her children.

Help us to remember that the pierced, tattooed, disinterested young man who can't make change correctly is a worried 19-year-old college student, balancing his apprehension over final exams with his fear of not getting his student loans for next semester.

Remind us, Lord, that the scary looking bum, begging for money in the same spot every day (who really ought to get a job!) is a slave to addictions that we can only imagine in our worst nightmares.

Help us to remember that the old couple walking annoyingly slow through the store aisles and blocking our shopping progress are savoring this moment, knowing that, based on the biopsy report she got back last week, this will be the last year that they go shopping together.

Heavenly Father, remind us each day that, of all the gifts you give us, the greatest gift is love. It is not enough to share that love with those we hold dear. Open our hearts not to just those who are close to us, but to all humanity. Let us be slow to judge and quick to forgive, show patience, empathy and love.

Coming to SC... No kidding, I'm for real this time!

Chris and I are coming to SC for SWU's Homecoming on Oct. 29th thru 30th. We'll be flying in at midnight on the 28th and then getting up early for some of the festivities at SWU that day. That afternoon I'll be playing in the Alumni softball game. So, if anyone is interested in coming out to watch a bunch of old athletes acting like they still have "it" (whatever "it" is) then we'll be playing at 1 pm on SWU's softball field. Check www.swu.edu for directions. It should be a good weekend and if I can walk after the game then I'll be up to going out to eat or hanging out that Sat. night. Our flight leave at 7:30pm from Atlanta that Sunday night so if anyone wants to hand out on Sunday let me know so I can make sure my driver (Kori) is available. Hope to see as many people as I can since it has been a long time!

Wilson and Tiff are alive!

Just wanted ya'll to know that I talked to Wilson and Tiff and they are still in Florence. Ed, the number you gave me was right... Thanks. Wilson is working at a chemical plant and Tiff is working in marketing. Wilson is applying for dental school in Greensboro, NC (I believe) and at MUSC in Charleston. He is patiently awaiting his acceptance letters. Just thought ya'll like to know that they are alive and kicking. If you want contact info for them then email me and I'll give it to ya.
